Innan du åker över till Danmark kan det vara idé att titta in på Infopoint Malmö på bokkafé Amalthea på Kristianstadsgatan 41c. De håller öppet den 10-19 december. Där hittar du uppdaterad information om hur det ser ut vid gränsen och vad som händer i Köpenhamn. Här kan du också fixa en sängplats i Malmö. Action calendar COP15

Here is a short description of all the different actions being planned and mobilised for the COP15 by the network of Copenhagen Climate Collective and Climate Justice Action.

From the 7th to the 10th, and then again on the 13th and 15th, morning action plannings and action trainings have been organized. Come to Byens Lys (the cinema in Christiania) to participate in an info action meeting and in the action planning from 10.00 to 11.00, and stay for the action training from 11.00 to 12.00.

10.00 Anti-corporate day, Don’t Buy the Lie!

Corporations have taken over the climate debate. Their prime and only interests are profit and the continuation of the capitalist system. On Friday, December 11th, we Take Direct Action to disrupt the corporations taking part in the COP process. We will target corporate headquarters, business meetings, lobbying events, and much more. Meet at 10:00 sharp at Nytorv, a square in the inner city. From there we will proceed to a variety of targets, where people are empowered to use a diversity of tactics to disrupt business as usual. 13.00 Big demo to the Bella center, starting from Christiansborg

• "System Change not Climate Change" bloc organised by Climate Justice Action: "The bloc will be the hottest and brightest block for Climate Justice in the march on the 12th to the Bella Center. We will hit the streets in a massive block to celebrate a colourful diversity of peoples’ movement that is challenging green capitalism and the root causes of climate change." 12.00 Hit the production

Hit the Production encourages everybody to grab your friends, form affinity groups and join us in a affinity group action and mass blockade of a symbol of the ideology of never ending economical expansion; overproduction and overconsumption fuelled by centralized fossil fuels and speculation. On December 13th we call on people all over the world to take action in their communities, to shut down the production of climate chaos. In Copenhagen we will target the harbour with a mass blockade. The global shipping industry is at the heart of capitalism, a key symbol of an industrial System that is based on grow and the use of fossil fuels. We must show that the organisation of production in our societies is the root cause of climate change and must be changed. We call on people to take similar action all over the world, interrupting the system’s ‘business as usual’ for a day. Take action: Hit the production of climate chaos! 12.00 Farmers’ Action – La Via Campesina against the meat-industry!

La Via Campesina will highlight the huge impact of industrial agriculture on the climate as well as on people’s lives at the Axelborg building in Copenhagen on the 13th of December. The Axelborg building is the headquarters of the Danish Agriculture and Food Council, where the big players of industrial pork production sit. It represents much of what is wrong with the current world’s food and agricultural system. Massively oriented towards export markets, this industry is based on imported soya cultivated in monoculture plantations in the South. The whole cycle produces pollution in the North (methane emissions, environmental damage), relies on massive fossil oil transportation systems, and destroys people lives in the South where farmers are kicked off their land and forests are destroyed by agro-giants who turn land into green deserts. 11.00 No Borders Action! No Climate Refugees!

The climate crisis is Governments’ latest excuse for cracking down on migration. At the same time Governments participating in the COP15 continue to support the corporate interests that have caused the climate crisis and which will force many to migrate. On December 14th we will take on the clearest symbol of their climate hypocrisy here in Denmark - the Ministry of Defense. We want to breakdown their control, disrupt their surveillance and confront their repression. We will open their offices to the weather they are changing and to the people they lock out. 17.00 Reclaim Power Party

After a weekend of fighting for climate and social justice it is time to dance, talk, kiss, listen, reflect, sing, laugh and love. This night we will gain energy for the RECLAIM POWER-action while we get to know each other better. There will be speeches by Naomi Klein and Michael Hardt, sweet visuals, nice food, a christmas-drinksbar and some of the best underground and political music-acts the Danish scene can offer, supported by international acts. arty from 17:00 the 14th of December - look for the details and venue on www.climate-justice-action.org

12.00 Resistance is ripe! Agricultural Day of Action

The current food system is responsible for over 32% f the greenhouse gas emissions. At the same time the practices of agri-businesses make millions of small farmers lose their land and livelihoods. Small scale alternatives still exist and other possibilities and realities are created. This type of food production can help to cool the planet, but it doesn’t fit within the current capitalist production model. We will demonstrate to call attention to positive alternatives and to protest and take actions against the companies responsible for the current food system. Affinity groups are encouraged to help with one of the existing plans or to prepare their own actions. Information about food related companieswill be made available. Starting Point: Islands Brygge – Havne parken (near Langebro bridge) at 12.00!

In the evening there will be a serious but entertaining dinner event. Groups involved in food and agriculture related campaigns will briefly present themselves with pictures and video clips. In the meantime people can enjoy a tasty, healthy and responsible meal from the action kitchen Rampenplan. Check out on Map 3 where the kitchen is located, the event will start around 7pm.

08.00 Reclaim Power! Pushing for Climate Justice.

On the 16th of December we will take over the conference for one day and transform it into a Peoples Assembly. Our goal is to disrupt the sessions and open a space inside the UN area to hold the Assembly. The assembly will give a voice to those who are not being heard, it will be an opportunity to change the agenda, to send a clear message to the world calling for climate justice. The starting point, which will be announced to the police and media, will be Tårnby Station at 08:00 o’clock. From there, the climate justice bloc will move on towards the Bella Center. Affinity groups will make their way to the border of the conference area from various directions. The aim is for all groups coming from the outside to start entering the UN Area at 10am. At the same time, groups inside the Summit will start to disrupt the sessions and mobilize people to participate in the Peoples Assembly. The assembly will start at 12m at the main entrance to the Bella Center inside the UN Area. Reclaim Power! is a confrontational mass action of non-violent civil disobedience. We will overcome any physical barriers that stand in our way - but we will not respond with violence if the police try to escalate the situation, nor create unsafe situations; we will be there to make our voices heard! There will be Action Councils from the 11th until the 17th of December, with short introductions of the action, updates of the situation, legal debriefings, space for affinity group coordination, action planning and preparation. Put the fun between your legs: Operation Bike Bloc.

For COP15, the UK Climate Camp and artactivist collective The Laboratory of Insurrectionary Imagination are creating an entirely new form of civil disobedience Put the fun between your legs: Operation Bike Bloc. Bike hackers, welders, activists, artists and engineers will be working together to build a new pedal powered resistance machine made from hundreds of recycled bikes which will swarm through the streets on the 16th of December, day of Reclaim Power actions. All are invited to put the fun between their legs and BECOME THE BIKE BLOC. The apocalypse looms like a dark tempest on the horizon. Things are serious now. If we are to get through this Crisis we have to forget all old grudges and past wrongs, leave behind all dissent and rebellious activity, and gather in support of our leaders.


”Come,” they smile at us in the green-shimmering full-page advertisements from a future where new technology and new markets have saved the planet, ”only together can we solve this”.

But wait a minute... Their proposal for how we are to be saved from ruin seems sickeningly familiar. Haven't we heard all this before? What is it they are hiding? What is it they are trying to distract us from?

Vi ses i Köpenhamn!

COP15 är en konferens där alla FN:s länder träffas för att tillsammans komma fram till en lösning på klimatkrisen. Varför planerar då tusentals människor att resa till Köpenhamn för att protestera mot mötet?

Det finns en uppsjö organisationer och grupper som uppmanar oss att åka till Köpenhamn för att med våra demonstrationer och aktioner sätta press på ledarna så att de tar radikalare beslut. Med radikala menar man då stramare utsläppstak under det nya Kyotoprotokollet. Men om vi vill undvika katastrofal global uppvärmning måste vi se till att inte falla i den fällan.

Genom att vrida debatten till att handla om promillehalter av växthusgaser i atmosfären och procentuella utsläppsmål för olika länder lyckats den ekonomiska och politiska eliten undvika att prata om klimatförändringarnas verkliga orsak. Den globala uppvärmningen orsakas av det kapitalistiska produktionssystemet och de olika industrier som kapitalismen vilar på: kolindustrin, oljeindustrin, gruvindustrin, transportindustrin osv. Klimatförändringarna är ett symptom på kapitalismens totala ohållbarhet. Genom att vrida diskussionen till hur mycket växthusgaser det är i atmosfären istället för hur de kom dit lyckas man styra iväg diskussionen från det uppenbara: för att ta itu med klimatförändringarna måste vi ta itu med kapitalismen.

Skogsindustrins magiska värld

Det finns otaliga studier och teorier om hur vårt västerlandska samhälle är uppbyggt på att frikoppla individen från hennes basala behov. Mat får man inte från jorden utan från affären, produktion är till för någon annans behov och naturen är någonting som skall övervinnas. Att äska lydnad av vår organiska omgivning är en självklarhet.

Kanske är det därför exploatering och rovkapitalism kring skog inte väcker mer uppmärksamhet. Vi vet visserligen att ett antal fotbollsplaner försvinner i Amazonas dagligen och att skogsbolag inte är populära i Sveriges norra delar. Men i och kring skogen bubblar konflikten. Det handlar om ursprungsbefolkningars och skogsfolks självbestämmanderätt till marken (om inte annat så tydligt realiserat med de senaste händelserna i Peru), det handlar om statligt understödd massavverkning for att blidka kraftiga kapitalintressen, det handlar om konfrontation gällande naturens resurser.

Manifestationer hölls idag i Malmö och Stockholm i solidaritet med Perus urbefolkning. De hölls till stöd för den kamp Amazonas folk för mot de nya frihandelslagar som ger olje- gruv- och skogsbolag rätt att exploatera deras skogar. De deltagande ville också visa sin avsky för den brutala massakern nära Bagua då militärpolis dödade runt 60 människor i en fredlig vägblockad.

Denna vecka, 15-19 juni, utropas till en vecka av aktioner i solidaritet med Perus urbefolkning, som kämpar mot regeringens försök att ge transnationella olje-, gas- och skogsbolag tillgång till deras mark.

För drygt en vecka sedan dödades över 85 människor av peruansk polis när de protesterade mot regeringens planer på att upphäva skyddet av mark som av tradition tillhör dem och tillåta industriell exploatering av Amazonas. Planerna är en del av det nya frihandelsavtalet mellan USA och Peru. Sedan den peruanska regeringen avslöjade sina planer, har grupper ur urbefolkningen runt om i Peru blockerat vägar, oljeinstallationer och annan viktig infrastruktur. Men regeringen har börjat att brutalt bryta de obeväpnade blockaderna med förrförra veckans massaker som följd.

Det finns tecken på att protesterna i Peru, tillsammans med internationella påtryckningar, har börjat ge resultat. Perus kongress röstade nyss för att upphäva två av lagarna i fråga, i hopp om att få situationen under kontroll. Men grupper ur urbefolkningen och fackföreningar har gjort klart att detta inte är nog, och fortsätter med blockaderna och protesterna.

Internationell solidaritet är oerhört viktig för att förhindra fler massakrer.

Gula Arméfraktionen attackerar Vattenfalls Energi- och klimatvecka

Gula Armé Fraktionen (GAF) utförde i natt en aktion riktad mot Vattenfalls Energi- och klimatvecka i Stockholm. Entrén på Norra Latins konferenscentrum där evenemanget äger rum blev ommålad med färgbomber och sprayfärg. En av de elmopeder Vattenfall använder i sin klimatkampanj fick också ny färg.

Aktionen var riktad mot Vattenfalls försök att framställa sig själva som klimatkämpar, när de i själva verket bedriver intensivt lobbyarbete för att få fortsätta expandera sin smutsiga kolkraftsverksamhet. Deras kamp för att få fortsätta göra vinster på billig kolkraftsenergi hotar nu dessutom att influera de internationella klimatförhandlingarna så till den grad att ett nytt internationellt klimatavtal inte kan bli annat än en katastrof.

"Vattenfall lobbar hårt för att påverka den internationella processen fram till COP15 i december. De är rädda att mötet annars ska hota deras smutsiga business", säger Rebecca i GAF. "Det värsta är att de lyckas så bra", fortsätter hon, "Företagets alla krav ingår nu i "The Copenhagen Call" som är ett dokument som den danska regeringen lovat ge en speciell status vid förhandlingarna."

NEVER TRUST A COP!

Nätverket "Never Trust a COP" har bildats för att mobilisera och samordna Europas antikapitalister och antiauktoritära fram till, under och efter FN:s klimattoppmöte COP15 i december. Nätverkets första öppna möte sker i Köpenhamn den 18-19:e juni.

Mot COP15-mötet, Köpenhamn, december 2009

Katastrofen är verklig och klimatförändringarna är ett av dess många symtom. COP15 påstår att de ska "rädda världen från klimatkrisen". Men det är inget annat än en avancerad bluff för att dölja COP15:s egentliga syfte: att återställa legitimiteten hos den globala kapitalismen genom att införa en nya era av "grön" kapitalism. En ny retorik där man säger sig "rädda klimatet" kommer användas för att rättfärdiga repression, fortifierade gränser och koloniala resurskrig. Kejsaren ges nya kläder. Vårt svar på denna häpnadsväckande lögn är ett kompromisslöst och absolut NEJ till deras system.

Mer måste rubbas än våra semestervanor för att bevara världen till kommande tider. Det vore dåraktigt att sätta vårt hopp till samma personer som fortsätter ödelägga jorden för pengar. I Köpenhamn kommer de att gräla över hur den marknad bäst utformas som omvandlar biosfären till handelsvara så att de kan fortsätta förgifta den. Samtidigt kommer miljontals människor fråntas sin mark. Allt för att kunna profitera på att förstöra det som finns kvar av vår jord. Regeringar och företag kommer inte att offra sin tillväxt för att minska utsläppen av koldioxid, eller bara göra så för att skapa nya auktoritära regimer.
